Always interesting to see how the press treats them . The Dead movie and Englishtown did sort of wake them up , and the Egypt tour got some more attention . In the mid 70's, at a time when they were playing some of their best music, they were sort of ignored . This was the era of Led Zep, Tull, Elton John, etc . On the critics list were people like Springsteen ,or the early New Wave acts . The Dead were these anachronistic relics, that played boring music .
Clearly I am biased, but boy were they missing something .
